Nintendo Adds Accessibility Tags To eShop Game Listings
Nintendo has announced plans to add accessibility tags to games on the Nintendo eShop, its digital storefront.
The company is working with other gaming companies and the Accessible Games Initiative to show players which accessibility features a game includes. The tags are meant to tell customers before they buy whether a game has features such as subtitles, surround sound, play without touch controls, or play without motion controls.
The changes should be in place now, and more game listings will be updated with the tags in the coming days. Check the listing for a game before you buy to see which accessibility features it includes.
