The Night of the Exorcism is a visual novel set in a dark, atmospheric world. Its branching paths lead to nine different endings, and you'll face seven demons along the way. The story puts you in the remote village of Southshire-Upon-Yail, where you're called to diagnose a young woman's mysterious illness. Each decision you make reveals a little more of the mystery, and you'll have to work out what's harming her. Her demons won't leave easily, so you'll need to deal with each of the seven creatures, either by expelling them or by giving in to their temptations. Secrets of Hell can be uncovered, but at a cost, and you'll need to decide whether to trick the demons into exposing their cores or leave yourself open to them. The game will be sold digitally for $6.99. There's an official trailer for it already, so you can get a feel for the tone before it lands.

Shenmue 3 Enhanced Delayed, Statement Released

Shenmue 3 Enhanced has been delayed, so it won't release this year as originally planned. The game was originally set to launch sometime this year. With only a couple of months left in the year, the delay is not a big surprise. The game is now on track for early 2027. ININ has released a statement about the delay. The company says it knows fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to see Ryo on several modern consoles for the first time. Development is taking time to get everything right, and the team is making good progress while finalising the last details. > We'll have more details to share with you soon and are looking forward to this release in early 2027! We last heard about the title back in May. That's when ININ shared frame rate and resolution details for Shenmue 3 Enhanced on Nintendo Switch 2.

Closer Look At Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 Console

A Reddit user has managed to get hold of the special Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 console early. He is the second Nintendo employee to be given the honour. The award is given by the French Ministry of Culture to people who have achieved outstanding work in art, media and literature. Shigeru Miyamoto received the same honour in 2006, so Aonuma follows him as the second Nintendo figure to be recognised this way. At the ceremony, Aonuma thanked the fans, his colleagues and his wife. He said the award belongs to the many developers he has worked with, rather than to him alone. > The fact that I am standing here today is not due to my own efforts alone. The item does not say whether there are further plans for the award, so that is all the detail there is for now.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Datamine Reveals New Details

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has been datamined again, and the findings include some details that may point to future DLC from Intelligent Systems. The datamine also offers a look at how the project was developed. Nintendo announced the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Expansion Pass DLC earlier this month. Since the Nintendo Switch 2 has now been jailbroken, new methods for datamining games on the system have been found, and Fire Emblem is one of the first games fans have turned to. Aveyn_Knight shared the findings on X, and Lerkpots relayed and rounded them up. The DLC lords each have an obelisk with their own theme. Each one also has a glowing portrait that appears on completing Part 2, along with references to their Part 2 stories. Comments on the Fire Emblem subreddit indicate the music for those obelisk themes was found too. Orche appears to have no Part 2 at present. It's unclear whether her story is incomplete, whether she won't get one, or whether she's getting something different. The data also includes a new Diadem, the Diadem of Sagacity, which is the Crest of Macuil from Three Houses. There's additionally UI for completing the game on Maddening Mode. Several unused characters show up in the roster menu, though that doesn't mean they're all playable. They are Chiara, Churness, Credna, Cleobulus, Gladius, Jurah, Kalla, Myson, Nomved, Smyrnos and Suarez. Cleobulus, Credna, Gladius, Kalla and Myson also appear in costume data, and the same five appear in support data. There was also a recent Pokémon Pokopia datamine that may have leaked the full DLC 2 Pokémon lineup.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion DLC Unveils New Game Mode

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is getting The Siege of Castle Doom DLC next month, and a new mode for it has now been revealed. In the new mode, you have to stop Doctor Doom's latest invention before he can use it to destroy the galaxy. You're racing a clock as the Siege Gauge fills. Doctor Doom's stronghold is the setting. You have to break through its defenses before Victor von Doom can activate the Cosmic Inductor, a flawed weapon originally built to stop Annihilus that now threatens the whole cosmos. Each encounter you survive charges the Stabilizer, a device built by Reed Richards that can stop Doom's plan. Collect Battery Cells and complete challenges to earn upgrades from a set of 12 perks. Failing challenges weakens your fighters, and Doom has set traps for you along the way. Successful runs unlock new equipment and events from Reed's Lab, along with modifiers that make later attempts harder and more rewarding. The castle's routes branch, so you choose your path and your buffs. Doom Bots guard the castle, and bosses from the base game are waiting to settle scores. Reach Victor von Doom before the Siege Gauge fills. The castle's forces get stronger as it fills, and if it fills completely before your showdown, the run ends. The DLC also adds Susan Storm and Doctor Doom as playable characters, new color palettes for any hero who defeats Doctor Doom, and original music from composer Tee Lopes. A trailer for the new mode is available on the site. The DLC will be out for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on November 10, 2026. The society survival game is now available on the console, and it has been well received. You can watch the trailer in the item's accompanying video, which was posted with the release. Frostpunk Frostpunk is a society survival game where heat means life and every decision carries a cost. In a frozen world, people build steam-powered technology to hold back the cold, and your job is to build the last city on Earth and secure what your community needs to survive. City management takes up most of your time, but you will also need to explore the outside world to learn its history and current state. You set the laws that govern your growing society, covering work routines, healthcare, food and daily life. Keeping your people hopeful and content matters as much as keeping them fed and safe. Some choices are small, like the fate of one troubled citizen, but their combined effect can lead to unexpected results. Expeditions are risky but can return with intel, supplies and new people. Endless Mode offers unlimited replayability across 8 maps, each with different terrain, weather and challenges. It comes in 3 modes: Endurance, a test of building, managing and surviving in the harshest conditions; Builders, where no generator is available from the start; and Serenity, which focuses on the art of building the city without unnecessary pressure. Frostpunk is available now as a digital download on Nintendo Switch.

Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United Details Characters, Systems, Battles

Square Enix has shared new details on Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, covering its characters, systems and battles. The game is a remake of the original Romancing SaGa 3, and this update gives a closer look at how it plays, from the people you recruit to how you forge gear and build your party. The update introduces five main characters. The Minstrel is a wandering musician who is most often found in the pubs of every town. Tatyana is a wandering girl who never stays in one place for long and introduces herself by a different name each time. Nora is the chief of a smithing workshop in Pidona, and Muse is a woman living quietly in Pidona's old quarter who turns out to be the surviving daughter of House Claudius. Charl is the former captain of the Imperial Guard of Pidona and now guards Muse. Your renown rises as you complete quests and objectives. Once your renown rank goes up, you get perks such as more ability slots and expanded United Attacks. You can forge and reforge equipment at the Pidona workshop by spending aurums and materials, and you can claim the finished pieces after winning a set number of battles. The workshop regains its smiths as you find them around the world, and reforging the Matriarch's sacred relics requires Destinite. Characters can equip up to two weapons. Equipping more defensive gear raises Defense but also adds encumbrance, which can lower Speed in battle. Auto-Equip will set up your characters with the best gear you have. Mr. S returns as a collectible, and every five stickers you gather grants a boon such as speeding up workshop forges. Battles add new formations, including Triple Incisors and Rampaging Mammoth. Characters level up their weapon types and spell schools by using them in battle, and techs and spells can be mastered and taught to other members of your retinue.

Croc 1 and 2 Getting Switch 2 Editions, Physical Releases Confirmed

Croc Legend of the Gobbos and Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos are both getting new Nintendo Switch 2 Editions, according to retailer listings. Both games are set for a digital launch, and physical copies are also planned. PM Studios will be bringing Croc 1 and 2 to retail. These are Switch 2 Editions, but they will also work on the original Switch. Pre-orders for the physical Switch 2 releases are open now. There are no release dates yet, but the boxed copies should arrive in 2027. Croc Legend of the Gobbos The first game follows a small crocodile named Croc, who sets out to rescue his adopted family of Gobbos from the evil sorcerer Baron Dante. You run, jump, climb, swim and tail spin through five worlds, including volcanoes, ice glaciers and underwater caves, across 45 levels packed with enemies and bosses. This remaster adds enhanced HD graphics, updated controls with a new camera, and retro video modes. A Crocipedia museum of concept art, design documents, animation tests and interviews is included as well. Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos The sequel opens after Baron Dante is resurrected and the inventor Gobbo is captured. A message in a bottle tells Croc that his birth parents are searching for him, so he heads to the mainland to find them. He explores four villages, rescues captured Gobbos and takes on new Guardians such as Soveena the Squid and Cannon Boat Keith. The game adds a triple jump, car and speedboat races, minecarts, a hang glider and an airplane across more than 40 levels. This remaster is also paired with a Croc2pedia, a digital museum of cut content, marketing assets, 3D model galleries and developer interviews.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Reaches Three Million Sales

SEGA has announced in a post on X that Sonic X Shadow Generations has now sold a combined three million units. The game first released on October 25, 2024 for Nintendo Switch as an expanded re-release of Sonic Generations. It later launched as a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. The game is now available on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Its eShop page describes it as a collection with two parts: a new standalone campaign where Shadow returns to face Black Doom, and a complete remaster of Sonic Generations with upgraded visuals and new bonus content. The new campaign follows Shadow as Black Doom returns to threaten the world again. Shadow uses new Doom Powers to surf on water, fly over obstacles and stop time with the return of Chaos Control. He explores an all-new hub world inspired by the open-zone gameplay of Sonic Frontiers. The remaster is a time-travelling adventure where Dr. Eggman teams up with his past self and the Time Eater to rewrite history, scattering Sonic and his friends across space and time. Players spin dash through 3D and 2D versions of stages from past Sonic games, now with updated visuals and reworked cinematics. The leak is reportedly from the game's in-game Pokemon icon sheet. The information follows recent work in the Nintendo Switch 2 hacking community, where several games are being dumped and datamined to look for new, unused or upcoming content. Pokemon Pokopia is one of them. If you want to avoid spoilers on the Pokemon coming to the game, you may want to skip the rest of this one. The icon sheet lists Pokemon that are not in the game yet, including Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Doduo, Dodrio, Snubbull, Granbull, Delibird, Skitty, Delcatty, Turtwig, Grotle, Torterra, Cresselia, Petilil, Lilligant, Fennekin, Braixen, Delphox, Swirlix, Slurpuff, Milcery, Dipplin and Hydrapple. According to the same leak, a Dipplin and Hydrapple event will reportedly be added before the second DLC drops. Nothing in the leak confirms Applin, Flapple or Appletun, and the timing of the DLC is not confirmed either. The leak also reportedly points to an Alcremie "character" arriving with DLC 2. This would be the first time a Pokopia DLC has included a specific new Pokemon character, as the first wave had none. The information comes from SoulSilverArt, who forwarded a message originally posted on Discord. These details are unofficial and may change. Note that this information came to light after the Nintendo Switch 2 was jailbroken for the first time.

Nintendo Reveals Why You Don't Actually Fight Bowser In Super Mario Bros.

Miyamoto spoke at a press conference at the end of the week, where he was celebrated as the first developer to win Japan's Order of Culture award. He was asked to share behind-the-scenes stories about making the game. You do go head-to-head with Bowser, but not directly. Most players defeat him by heading for the end of the bridge and hitting the axe, which drops Bowser into the lava. The other option is to become Fire Mario and hit him with fireballs. According to Miyamoto, the team struggled to create a proper battle with Bowser, which makes sense given how early games were and how limited the NES hardware was. He then thought about how Super Mario Bros. is about running to the right, and came up with the idea of jumping over Bowser instead of fighting him. When the team tried it during development, it turned out to be surprisingly fun. Miyamoto said: > I found it surprisingly fun when I tried it, and I was really happy when I realized that. Miyamoto also previously detailed the origins of the dash mechanic in Super Mario Bros.

New Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Trailer Released

Crystal Dynamics has released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, the next game in the series. The game has been out for a decade, and this update marks that milestone with an event and new rewards for players who return. The update is led by the Final Festival of Universes, which starts on October 30. During the event, hard-to-find items come back, and you can earn 25 times more Star Coins than usual, which makes trading them in for rewards much quicker. You can also raise your camaraderie level with Trunks, The Supreme Kai of Time, or Fu, which unlocks special illustrations. Taking part in the festival can earn you a special Gi and a commemorative medal. Owning either one lets you unlock special items in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 once you link your Bandai Namco ID, and that game arrives in 2027. Separately, a free update on October 27 adds new login bonus rewards and special costumes. It also updates the Gallery of Time, which you can unlock by buying the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC. Future Saga Chapter 4 was the last DLC released for the game. This is a Warriors game that has been on Switch for some time, and many players have wanted a newer version for it. The Switch 2 release is a separate digital game rather than a standard upgrade. If you already own Age of Calamity, you will need to pay $30 for the new version. Save data carries over between the two versions, which helps, but the price is high for a six-year-old game, especially since it already has DLC. This decision was most likely made by Koei Tecmo, which handles publishing in Japan. Still, it reflects on Nintendo too, since none of its next-generation upgrades so far have been sold as separate releases. The Definitive Edition is also a game-key card on Switch 2. The collaboration brings Bayonetta outfits into Stellar Blade, and the two studios have now explained how the work was approved and built. One detail from the interview is that PlatinumGames stayed mostly hands-off. According to its CEO Atsushi Inaba, being nitpicky would have ruined the collaboration, so the studio simply asked Shift Up to do a good job and trusted them to handle it. Shift Up's Kim Hyung Tae described the process as a fun learning experience, especially recreating the words that decorate Bayonetta's outfit. Kim also designed one of the collaboration outfits that does not come from the original game. He said he kept his own style intact while making it fit Eve and the world of Bayonetta, and he thanked PlatinumGames for approving it. Stellar Blade launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.

Modern Warfare 4 Gets 39GB Update On Switch 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is now out on Nintendo Switch 2, and a new update for the game is ready to download. The digital version was originally listed at 27GB, and that has now been reduced to 24.54GB. Nintendo has been working to cut the file sizes of its first-party Switch 2 games, and this remake is the latest example. The change was found on the back end of the Nintendo eShop, which is where the new figure first appeared. The eShop listing is expected to be updated in the coming days, so the new size should show up there soon. The remake itself is due out on Switch 2, and the eShop update will be the first public confirmation of the smaller file. If you're planning to download it, the new 24.54GB size means you'll need a little less free space than the original listing suggested. Check the eShop page once it updates to confirm the final number.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Director Says Story Wasn't Shaped By Player Reactions

Final Fantasy 7 Remake series director Naoki Hamaguchi has shared more about the story as the series heads toward its finale next year. The main point is that the team kept to a story it had planned from the start. Between the releases of Remake, Rebirth and Revelation there was time for player opinion to pull things in another direction, but Hamaguchi says that never happened. Hamaguchi told EDGE that the full arc of the narrative was mapped out at the very beginning of the project. The details were filled in as each game went into development. Hamaguchi said: > We haven't altered the core of the story based on reactions at any given time. He also said that avoiding a personal fan project was essential to him. The bigger challenge, he explained, was asking whether the team's work could honestly be called Final Fantasy 7, not just adding changes or fresh takes. Hamaguchi also said that having the original creators around let him move the story forward by discussing and confirming details with them. Remake and Rebirth are out now on Nintendo Switch 2, and Revelation concludes the trilogy in April. Hamaguchi previously spoke about the Switch 2 version of Revelation

List of All Nintendo Switch 2 Games That Support GameShare

GameShare is becoming an important part of Nintendo Switch 2, so we've put together a complete list of games that support the feature. We'll keep updating this post over time. GameShare is brand new for Nintendo Switch 2. With it, select titles let you play with others even if they don't own a copy of the game. You can also share games locally with people who have the original Nintendo Switch, and you can link up with up to three other systems at a time. GameShare also supports online play with other Nintendo Switch 2 systems. Many of the games on the list work with local users or with users in a GameChat session, but the support differs from title to title. Some are local only, such as Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Super Mario Party Jamboree, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. Others, such as Exit Lab: 15 Rooms and Lynked: Banner of the Spark, only work in a GameChat session. The list covers a wide range of titles, from party games like Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics and Chit Chat Party to sports games like EA Sports FC 27 and NBA 2K27. It also includes Nintendo first-party games such as Kirby Air Riders, Super Mario Odyssey and Pikmin 3 Deluxe. If you're after a specific game, check the full list before you invite anyone to play. The page also links to our running list of games with a game-key card release on Nintendo Switch 2.

Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic Physical Release Set For Japan

Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic, the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil is getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, and pre-orders are open for the boxed versions. The release date is December 17, 2026. The boxed versions have so far only been announced for Japan. English is one of the supported languages, though, so you can import a copy for either system and play it regardless of region. The Switch 2 version is a proper cartridge rather than a game-key card, so there's no download step to worry about with that copy. > Touhou Koumakyou from the Touhou makes its debut on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The game lets you control Reimu the shrine maiden or Marisa the magician as you work to resolve an incident threatening Gensokyo. The New Classic version has upgraded high-resolution visuals and every BGM track arranged by ZUN, and it adds a mode where you can play with unlimited lives. There is also a Classic version that keeps the original 2002 gameplay, though all text in that version is in Japanese.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time Gets ESRB Rating Page With New Details

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has published a rating page for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and it includes new details about combat and game mechanics. You explore from a third-person view, talk to characters, solve puzzles and fight creatures such as bat-like, spider-like and chicken-like enemies, along with guards. The co-op climbing game has arrived on the console with full cross-play support. Peak was announced last week, and now the console version is here for Switch 2 owners to try. Peak is a co-op climbing game in which a single slip can end your run. You can play alone or with a group of lost nature scouts, and the goal is to climb the mountain at the centre of a mysterious island. The mountain changes every day you play, so you'll need your friends to help you up ledges or to leave ropes and spikes for the scouts who come after you. The climb is split across four biomes, each with its own dangers. You'll scavenge food, look after your injuries, and find survival items such as energy drinks, climbing spikes and the mysterious Anti-Rope. The map rotates every 24 hours, so you can try a fresh layout daily or keep retrying the same island until you beat it. Multiplayer is limited to friends, and you can invite up to three other scouts online. Proximity chat lets you talk while you climb, and there's also an offline single-player mode. Along the way you can earn badges and unlock cosmetics, and you'll find campfires, marshmallows and ghosts on the mountain. Watch the launch trailer for Peak: Console Edition on the Switch 2 page.
