Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Launch Trailer – Kaiju Arena Brawler Hits Nintendo Switch 2

Atari, Pipeworks and Toho have released a launch trailer for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, and the kaiju arena brawler is available on Nintendo Switch 2 starting today.

This is a remaster of the 2002 fighter, first made by original developer Pipeworks. Atari is publishing the new version, which updates the visuals and adds quality of life improvements to the original game.

The remaster brings enhanced visuals and a number of gameplay changes. There are 12 kaiju to choose from, each with its own set of attacks, and eight locations that have day and night versions. The battles take place in recreated real-world cities, Monster Island and the alien Mothership. You can also use the environment in fights, picking up buildings and other landmarks to use as weapons.

The unlock system has also changed. You can now unlock monsters, locations and gallery items in whatever order you like. Each kaiju also has its own single-player campaign. For multiplayer, you can play local co-op with friends, or take part in the new online multiplayer.
