No Man's Sky 7.1 Forsaken Update Coming To Switch 2 And Switch

Hello Games has unveiled version 7.1 of No Man's Sky, which is called Forsaken. It will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch soon.

The update adds new things to the game, along with a set of improvements and fixes. Players can meet strange traders, collect haunting mementos, deliver mysterious packages, build an eerie corvette, and warp between star systems more smoothly.

Forsaken brings a number of new features to the game. Haunting mementos now appear around the galaxy, at infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters, and planetary digsites. Be careful when you harvest them, because staying near them too long will attract hostile boundary horrors. The traders also sell a living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, which you can buy with preserved grubs, and collecting enough mementos can earn you a unique player title and a Larva Tank helmet customisation.

The update also adds a Minimal HUD mode, which reduces the on-screen elements such as the compass, hazard protection, and mission notifications. Corvette owners with a gravitino coil can now take package courier missions from deep-space outposts. Nearby stars can be targeted and warped to directly from space, without opening the Galaxy Map. Multi-Tool modes can now be picked from a radial menu, and a new Holo-Arena challenger has appeared at deep-space outposts.

Forsaken also includes a long list of quality-of-life changes, UI and control fixes, audio fixes, and bug fixes. Among them, the mission notification flicker has been fixed, deep-space constructions can now be uploaded to the server, and the Oxygen Harvester can be built anywhere on a planetary surface. The update is coming to both Switch 2 and Switch.
