Original Ocarina of Time Map Artist Drew Remake Map

The original Zelda: Ocarina of Time map artist drew the newly designed map of Hyrule for the Nintendo Switch 2 remake. The map was shown a month or so before the reviews went live.

The remake has now been reviewed, and it sits at 96 on Metacritic. Reviewers have scored it well so far, with one review giving it a 10/10 on our own site. Earlier, we reported on the new map of Hyrule and the areas around it, and that post is worth a look if you missed it.

The detail that stands out is who drew it. The map was made by the same artist who drew the map for the original Nintendo 64 game, so the remake's map is a return to that earlier work. Nintendo has celebrated the review launch today, and the Switch 2 version is the one these reviews cover.
