Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Gameplay Shown On Nintendo Switch 2
Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Revelation had a big presence at Paris Games Week, and attendees at Nintendo's booth got to play the game on Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi also showed the project during an extended gameplay session at a special stage show. About 30 minutes of footage from that presentation is now out. It shows docked gameplay, though the footage is off-screen, and it gives an extensive look at the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
The story picks up as the world nears destruction and Cloud and his companions face Sephiroth in the final battle. This is the last chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 remake project, with a much larger world to explore by airship and a fully assembled party to fight with.

Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine are newly playable party members, each bringing their own combat roles and abilities. Combat mixes real-time action with command-based battles, and you can switch party members on the fly and use Tactical Mode to issue commands.
Character customization covers weapons, armor, skills, materia, and FITS, a new system that adds class-based abilities and special outfits. You can check out the gameplay footage now. The game is due out on April 8, 2027.
