Pokemon Has a Mystery Countdown Going
Pokemon has started a new countdown, and nobody knows yet what it will lead to.
Fans first spotted an image of Bulbasaur sent out on October 18 with the number 1,025. A second image followed, showing Goodra with the number 843, and the most recent one shows Teddiursa with the number 646.
Fans have compared the time between the images and found that the countdown runs hourly. It is expected to end on November 30 at 14:00 UTC.
The first two images had part of their text scrubbed out, but the third shows it fully. It roughly translates to "Continue with Pokemon."
We're mostly interested in games, and Nintendo Switch ports of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire have been rumoured for a while, though none have appeared yet. Pokemon Winds and Waves are also slated for 2027, but it may be too early for a new marketing push, so a reveal during Pokemon Day next February is a possibility we'd guess at. We don't have much more to go on than that. If you have a guess, let us know in the comments.
