Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Coming To Switch 2 On November 19

Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The date is now set for November 19, 2026.

Boltgun 2 is a follow-up to the retro first-person shooter that first came out on the original Switch. It picks up right after the end of the first game, and the two playable characters are Malum Caedo, a Sternguard Veteran, and Nyra Veyrath, a Sister of Battle. Each has their own abilities, weapons and style of play.

The game has a branching single-player campaign that takes you to new worlds, from the tall hive city to a jungle of mangrove swamps. You'll have new guns, including a chainsword and a shotgun, and new enemies such as the Bloodletters and their daemonic Juggernauts. The game also has a navigation guide to help you keep moving through the fight.

The new trailer shows the first footage of the main antagonist, Vashtorr, a daemonic demigod of inventors and engineers. There is also a short teaser of the original music, composed by guest composer Mick Gordon.

The release date was first given as October 14, 2026, for the initial launch, and an update now confirms November 19, 2026.
