Petit Planet Confirmed For Nintendo Switch 2 From Genshin Impact Dev
miHoYo has announced that it will release Petit Planet on Nintendo Switch 2, with the launch set for 2027.
miHoYo is the company behind Genshin Impact, and Petit Planet is a new title from the studio for Nintendo's console.
Petit Planet is a free-to-play cozy galactic life simulation game. Players nurture a planet of their own and gradually form a galaxy by connecting with other planets scattered across the starry sky.
On their own planet, they plant a Luca Seed that grows into a Luca Arbor, shaping the landscape, seasons and ecosystem over time. Planet Coordinator Mobai and Starsea Racer Elsasani are the first to welcome each Planet Tender, and more Neighbors arrive over time with their own stories. Players can also sail the Starsea to explore its Islets, or visit the Galactic Bazaar to play games, join auctions and share creations.
HoYoverse has prepared events and rewards ahead of launch. A pre-registration lucky draw on the official website offers prizes, and over 1,000 clothing and furniture items can be earned for free through regular play. The "Besties, Made to Match!" event gives each player who pre-registers with two friends an exclusive clothing item. From November 1, the "Launch a Planet" event invites players to design their own planets on the official event website for a chance at grand prizes. The first Petit Planet Seasonal Creation Event will start with the launch, with cash prizes, in-game rewards and official merchandise for selected fan creations.
miHoYo will share an exact release date when it is confirmed.
