Mega Man: Dual Override Reveals Cook Man In New Trailer

A new trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override has revealed Cook Man, one of the game's Robot Masters.

Cook Man is a wandering chef who wants to be recognised for his cooking. That wish has led him to take over the game's oil storage facility.

The game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch in 2027. Proto Man returns as a playable character, with his own abilities and a different playstyle from Mega Man.

Override System

Override lets robots briefly push past their normal limits. When it runs out, performance drops for a while, so timing matters.

Custom Chips

Players install Custom Chips to add abilities such as rapid-fire, a protective shield bubble and hover. You can mix chip combinations to build your own approach.

Twinkle Girl

Twinkle Girl is one of eight new Robot Masters, and she fights with firework-themed attacks. As in earlier games, defeated Robot Masters give you abilities you can convert into special weapons.

Special weapons use energy, so you need to use them carefully. The new trailer shows one that makes a charge attack and also works as an aerial dash.

The trailer also shows Astro Man from Mega Man 8 flying into frame. It isn't confirmed whether other classic Robot Masters will return.
