Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Now 24.54GB, Nintendo Shrinks 27GB File

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is getting a smaller download on Nintendo Switch 2. The digital version was originally listed at 27GB, and that has now been reduced to 24.54GB.

Nintendo has been working to cut the file sizes of its first-party Switch 2 games, and this remake is the latest example. The change was found on the back end of the Nintendo eShop, which is where the new figure first appeared.

The eShop listing is expected to be updated in the coming days, so the new size should show up there soon. The remake itself is due out on Switch 2, and the eShop update will be the first public confirmation of the smaller file.

If you're planning to download it, the new 24.54GB size means you'll need a little less free space than the original listing suggested. Check the eShop page once it updates to confirm the final number.
