A Pet Shop After Dark Coming To Nintendo Switch
Viridian Software, working with Npckc, has announced that A Pet Shop After Dark is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2026.
The game first came out on PC, and this release brings it to the console with some extra content added to mark the move.
A Pet Shop After Dark is a horror point-and-click adventure with a cute look and a bit of a meta twist. You take on an odd job at a small pet shop, where the owner says all you need to do is water the plants, feed the pets and stay the night. The one rule is that you must never turn off the lights. The game also has puzzle elements and a shop full of invisible pets to feed.
Npckc said that reworking the controls for consoles gave the team room to add more for players who have already been to the shop. There are new diary entries and pieces of lore to find, so returning players still have new things to discover.
Reworking those interactions for consoles also gave us an opportunity to add a little more for returning players.
The game will cost $9.99 as a digital download. A trailer for the console release is also available.
