The Spectrum Retreat: Redux Coming To Nintendo Switch 2

A Nintendo eShop listing shows that The Spectrum Retreat: Redux will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 next week. Ripstone releases it on October 29, 2026, and it will cost $12.99.

The game first came to Nintendo Switch nearly a decade ago, and this version adds upgrades such as enhanced graphics, mouse controls and other quality-of-life additions.

This is a first-person puzzle thriller created by Dan Smith, who won the 2016 BAFTA Young Game Designer Award. You play Alex, who wakes up in The Penrose, an art-deco hotel cut off from the outside world, with no memory of checking in. A mysterious voice guides you as you look for the reason you're there.

Escape means solving logic and spatial puzzles, absorbing and swapping colours to pass security barriers, redirecting energy and reshaping your surroundings. Each puzzle brings you closer to what the hotel would rather keep hidden, and the story underneath is about memory and grief.

The Switch 2 version has entirely rebuilt lighting and reflections, HDR support, HD Rumble 2, mouse controls and enhanced 5.1 surround sound. Chapter selection and performance and gameplay optimisations are also included.

A trailer is available on the Switch 2 page.
