Peak: Console Edition Launch Trailer Released For Switch 2
Peak: Console Edition has shipped on Nintendo Switch 2, and a launch trailer is now out to show it off. The co-op climbing game has arrived on the console with full cross-play support.
Peak was announced last week, and now the console version is here for Switch 2 owners to try.
Peak is a co-op climbing game in which a single slip can end your run. You can play alone or with a group of lost nature scouts, and the goal is to climb the mountain at the centre of a mysterious island. The mountain changes every day you play, so you'll need your friends to help you up ledges or to leave ropes and spikes for the scouts who come after you.
The climb is split across four biomes, each with its own dangers. You'll scavenge food, look after your injuries, and find survival items such as energy drinks, climbing spikes and the mysterious Anti-Rope. The map rotates every 24 hours, so you can try a fresh layout daily or keep retrying the same island until you beat it.
Multiplayer is limited to friends, and you can invite up to three other scouts online. Proximity chat lets you talk while you climb, and there's also an offline single-player mode. Along the way you can earn badges and unlock cosmetics, and you'll find campfires, marshmallows and ghosts on the mountain.
