Nintendo Cancels Kirby Air Riders Halloween Event

Nintendo has cancelled the Halloween event in Kirby Air Riders after a freezing problem came up during play.

The event gave the main menu and Paddock a Halloween theme, and players could earn event points for Halloween materials and cosmetics, including a ghost hat.

Players quickly found the event close to unplayable. A single hit dropped all boosts as items, and with many items on screen the game froze often while the action kept running in the background. Nintendo has said the event will be held again at a later date. In a statement, Nintendo said:

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers.
