Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Switch 2 Edition Costs $30 Upgrade
Nintendo has announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, due in February 2027.
This is a Warriors game that has been on Switch for some time, and many players have wanted a newer version for it.
The Switch 2 release is a separate digital game rather than a standard upgrade. If you already own Age of Calamity, you will need to pay $30 for the new version. Save data carries over between the two versions, which helps, but the price is high for a six-year-old game, especially since it already has DLC.

This decision was most likely made by Koei Tecmo, which handles publishing in Japan. Still, it reflects on Nintendo too, since none of its next-generation upgrades so far have been sold as separate releases.
The Definitive Edition is also a game-key card on Switch 2. Only a digital copy is offered at the moment, so a physical release is not part of the plan. Are you going to pick it up at $30, or skip it? Let us know in the comments below.
