Grimm Reapress and Drearytale Monster Coming West
NIS America has announced that The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch in the West, with a confirmed release date of May 13, 2027.
The game first debuted in Japan this year under the title Shinigami Hime to Ishokan no Kaibutsu. It was made by the same team behind The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero.
The release date of May 13, 2027 is confirmed for the Western launch on both consoles. This is a single-player, story-driven adventure game drawn by hand to look like a picture book. NIS America described the premise this way:
Mono's sister is the only one who has ever treated her like family, so when she comes down with Paper Mortis, there's nothing Mono won't do to save her.
Mono has to make a contract with Mär, a fantastical monster, to traverse the Libratarium where her sister is kept. The game also has a trailer announcing the overseas launch.
