Walmart Cancels Some Zelda Switch 2 Pre-Orders A Day Before Release

Walmart has cancelled a number of pre-orders for the special 40th anniversary Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console, a day ahead of the system's release.

The retailer appears to have accepted more pre-orders than it had stock to fulfil, and affected buyers were told their order was out of stock.

Some customers who expected a console from the retailer have been left without one, and it is not a good look for the large North American chain. Walmart has not said how many orders were cancelled, so the scale of the problem is unclear.
