Tanuki: Pon’s Summer Gets Switch 2 And Switch Release Date

Tanuki: Pon’s Summer now has a release date of November 10, 2026, and it is coming to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The game was first announced for Nintendo Switch. Today's announcement added a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition to the plan, so the game will be playable on both consoles.

In Tanuki: Pon’s Summer you play as Pon, a tanuki who delivers letters and packages on his BMX across the four towns of the game. Those towns are inspired by Kyoto, Aomori, Sapporo, and Beppu, and each has its own quests and objectives. Packages come in different sizes, weights, and shapes, so you need to plan how you tackle each delivery.

Friendship and loyalty grow as you deliver for the townsfolk, and they invite you to sports and other activities. Taking part earns items and rewards that help restore the shrine. You can build, upgrade, and decorate the shrine with the money and items you collect, with the aim of having it ready for the Tanuki Festival at the end of summer. You have one month to do it.

A trailer for the release date is available now, and it is worth a watch if you want to see the game in motion.
