Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted Is Europe's Next Switch Online Game Trial

Nintendo has announced that Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is the next European Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial, available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

The original Plants vs. Zombies is a lane-based defence game where you guard your backyard from waves of zombies with plants like pea shooters and sunflowers. This remaster brings that classic back in HD, with added bonus levels and new content.

The trial runs from October 28 to November 3, and the Switch 2 and Switch versions are both included. The remaster has upscaled HD graphics, a local co-op mode where you defend the backyard together, and a local PvP mode where one player takes control of the zombies. Cloudy Day Mode limits sunlight so planting becomes a tactical challenge, and a new permadeath option called Rest In Peace is available in Adventure. There's also an Art and Concept Library with pre-production sketches and game history, plus visual options that can be toggled on or off through the Tree of Wisdom.

The trial is free to download for European Nintendo Switch Online players from October 28. We have more Nintendo Switch Online news here.
