Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 Revealed For Switch 2 And Switch
Idea Factory and Compile Heart have revealed Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, with a release planned for Summer 2027.
The game is a sequel to the RPG-style board game Dokapon, and it is built around rivalry as much as travel. The series is known for turning friendships into a competition, and this entry keeps that spirit going.
The new game adds more character customization options, bigger cooperative battles where rewards can be shared or kept, and a new mode where every player starts at a high level with strong equipment.
Movement works on board game-style maps. Players flick a spinner, travel to their destination, and defeat monsters, save towns, and earn money. Landing on certain spaces triggers events such as village visits, shop stops, and encounters with special characters. When two players land on the same space, they fight head to head. Each turn you pick one command, such as Attack, Defend, Strike, or Magic, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses, so predicting your opponent's choice matters.

Online multiplayer supports 2 to 4 players, and local multiplayer lets everyone gather around a single PC. Solo play is also an option. The game supports Japanese, English, Thai, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Co-op Battles have every player team up against a powerful Giga Monster, and defeating it earns a large pile of rewards. Whether the spoils are shared fairly is up to the players.
Character Creation lets you choose from many hairstyles and adjust the eyes and mouth, and you can save your favourite designs to reuse later. Winning a battle against another player lets you steal their items and money, and the winner can also change a rival's name or give them a silly hairstyle.
